Noble Gas Media

Noble Gas Media, a film production company based in Brooklyn NY, called upon Slash to create an identity that felt prestige while still being fun. The company focuses on thriller, horror and dark comedy genres, and is bolstered by a team that truly loves the craft and the art of making films.
For imagery, the venn diagram was top of mind, signifying the combination of technical/industry expertise with creative license. We also have the pun of the name itself; an noble, elevated and royal trustworthiness, with the noble gases of the periodic table, often used for lighting effects.

We landed on the main logo as a simple type lockup; easy to read at a glance, and an sleek stand-alone icon for merchandise, movie swag and film distribution (Just imagine this on a director's jacket.) There's also a nerdy/techy nod, as the stripes pull from the light spectrometers of the six noble gases, and the pop colors and static evoke those old-school RGB video colors and CRT TVs.
Working with Ethan was an expansive experience. I originally went to him with a vague sense of what I thought I wanted, but it was our discovery process that ultimately helped me articulate what I truly NEEDED.
Getting to have amazing in-depth conversations about all the concepts and ideas that animated and drove me as the founder of Noble Gas Media, we worked together to distill those BIG IDEAS into actionable business decisions and absolutely rad design elements that beautifully reflect the message and identity I want to put out into the world.
